Being part of a group can motivate you and push you to new levels.  It’s hard to be on your own, trying to figure it all out.  And it can be downright lonely.  Why not join a group of people who are already doing what you want to do.  Learn from them and follow what they are doing.  (Be sure to follow the successful ones).  It’s a whole lot more fun!

I’ve been in groups where we challenge each other, support each other and help each other.  Some of the people in my groups have become very close friends.

If you are in a home business, I highly recommend that you find a group of people who will support you and challenge you.  It can be one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have.  Being part of something will motivate you and keep you going when it gets difficult.

Reach out to others and accept their willingness to help.  Be sure to offer help and support back to them.  You will amaze yourself by how much you have to offer and by how much you will grow from this experience.

Then I was introduced to Facebook.  How fun is that!  I love keeping up with my friends and family on Facebook.  It’s fun and sometimes sad to see what is going on in the little bits of everyone’s day.  I feel connected to so many more people.  I wish I would have had Facebook when my kids were little and I felt like I could never leave the house.  I would have been able to connect with other adults and I wouldn’t have felt so isolated.

Now I look at my boys ages 15 and 18 and I wonder where the time went.  Our oldest is a Senior in High School and he will be heading off to college next year.  He will be starting a new chapter in his life.  Watching Toy Story 3 I cried like a baby.  My son and Andy are the same age.  We all grew up with Andy, Woody and Buzz Lightyear.  And now it’s off to college.  What a sad and exciting time for all of us.

Our younger son is a Freshman in High School.  What an exciting time for him.  He will be taking drivers ed soon.  He’s looking forward to that…..I’m not sure I’m ready to go through the passenger side scares again!

Social media has our changed our lives, all of our lives.  It has connected us to each other in such a fascinating way.  I am able to reach out to talk to or interact with people that I never would have had the chance to several years ago.  In many ways social media has made our world a smaller more connected world.
